Update: Let's try not to think about how I should have gone with "KYU~" (Q), rather than "KE~I" (K). I was too absorbed with the katakana spelling of "Quinn".

究極記者け～い!

I am so proud of this picture.

I'm not sure if anyone here reads Quinn ( [link] ), but Masami Yuuki's Kyukyoku Chojin R, or Ultimate Superman R, was a huge contribution to the birth of the Quinn series. I've always admired Yuuki's work (starting with Assemble Insert), and I put a lot of effort into replicating his drawing and colouring style. I do regret drawing Quinn's nose in my usual style.

SEE WHAT I DID THERE WITH RICK? Instead of Tosaka's trademark middle finger, I put in Rick's usual cigarette OHOHO BRILLIANT

Someone needs to translate Kyukyoku Chojin R! It's like Dr. Slump with a teenage android boy!

I actually asked Viz about it a few months ago, seeing as they had the rights to Dr. Slump and Patlabor (also by Masami Yuuki), but they never got back to me. Maybe with the current Tetsuwan Birdy reboot, someone'll take interest...

Let's hope they do. Sadly, it seems Vertical is the only company who actually releases old manga nowadays..

Vertical! I nearly forgot about them. They'd probably do a better job with Kyukyoku Chojin R, since they try to explain the cultural references, rather than cover them up.

I did, I read it or re-read it sometimes...
...And gosh, I should be obsessed or something, but Lawrence somehow makes me think of Tezuka-sama, or Tezuka Makoto-san. O_o Hit me, I don't deserve to live, saying such foolies.
