Fan art for the NOW! Comics series of Astro Boy. I can draw somewhat closely to Steacy's style in the later issues now.
In contrast to the atrocities of issues 12-15, Tenma/Boynton shows up as a "mysterious" guy in a trenchcoat with a hat for a face. This is assumedly taken from the manga chapter with Cleopatra. In my latest reviews, I really miss Boynton. He always supplied some level of delicious insanity to the comic, but now it's left to I.Q. Plenty and the damn dog.

Well, I had a peek at the link and, yep, mighty inconsistent art-work all right, which is too bad. To my eyes, at least, it veers from the worst of Hanna Barbera ( and they mass-produced LOTS of crap ) and Marvel comics in their four-colour hey-day, to stuff that seems to approach Harvey Kurtzman and Will Elder. ( " Little Annie Fannie " may not have been exactly cutting edge humour, but at least it was well-drawn. )
I must say, I admire your patience to wade through all of that: I would've thrown up my hands in disgust and gave up on the whole schlermozzle.
